kt7a&1400athlon problem

Hi,I've just recieved an athlon thunderbird 1400/266 factory unlocked cpu via ebay stated as unused as owners mb won't support it?, installed it onto my abit kt7araid v1.0 and guess what? absolutely nothing ,no post.According to Paul's unofficial site my mb should be o.k. with this cpu.Does it sound dead to you or is there anything i need to do after i've installed it?,not had time yet to test it in another system. Thanx.

can try reseting your BIOS clear out any old settings you may have ahd.. but I had the same CPU in a KT7A-RAID a year or so ago ran fine @ 1.55Ghz all day so you should have no probs if it aint dead....
