IT7Max2v2 + Raptor - No ATA150 option

I've got an Abit IT7 Max2 v2 Mobo and just got my WD Raptor S-ATA Drive.

I've got everything up and running perfectly except one thing.

In the BIOS, I've set the S-ATA bridge mode to 150mb/s, but in the HPT374 BIOS, it willo only let me set the drive mode up to ATA133.

It gives me the following otions -

PIO 0
PIO 1
PIO 2
PIO 3
PIO 4
MW DMA 0
MW DMA 1
MW DMA 2
ATA 16
ATA 25
ATA 33
ATA 44
ATA 66
ATA 100
ATA 133

Is this right??

Thanks

Yep.

The S-ATA ports on the IT-7 2/2-like every other S-ATA capable board I know of-is actually a S-ATA adapter sitting on top of a conventional ATA-100 or 133 controller.

You can't get true S-ATA150 support until that new protocol is incorporated in the northbridge of the chipset. For Intel systems, that means until the "Canterdale" boards begin shipping at the end of this month.
