Motherboard installation question

I hope I put this in the right forum.

I had a friend install an Asus A7V133-x. Aren't you supposed to have those little red paper washers in between the screw and the motherboard?

He said they were only necessary on the older boards and that mine didnt require them. I have turned my machine on and nothing shorted. But I just want to be sure.

thanks guys

No dont worry about it nothing shoud happen unless he really screwed up big time and left a screwdriver in it... so just look inside and if u see some tools in there take them out...

(im not trying to insult ur friend its just a joke)
