Asus TI4200 V9280 Driver Question

Hi Guys,

Building a new computer with this video card and installing the drivers that came on the CD, I think they are Nvidia reference driver 34.01 or something like that. The card seems to install fine, but I would like to run Driver 30.82. I downloaded 30.82 from Nvidia and install them but in control panel the driver does not change. I noticed when I install the 30.82 driver it creates a folder on my C drive call "Nvidia" and puts all the driver files there. I have tried to update driver through device manager and point it to that Nvidia foler on C drive with no success. Anyway, I must be doing something wrong. Every other Nvidia card I have owned I would just download the new Nvidia driver in an EXE file and run it, the new driver would show in control panel. So whats the trick to installing a driver with this ASUS card.....LOL!

Thanks guys!!

Update,

This card was a major POS.....lol. Sent it back and got a gainward g-force4, works great and drivers load no problem.

Just thought you all would like to know.......and btw....newegg handled everything without a problem!!

A+ for NewEgg
F for Asus

I just upgraded from that card and the method i used to tinker was to uninstall the drivers back to basic VGA reboot and then install the new drivers. I uninstalled through the 'add/remove programs' on your control panel. If you're using ASUS's Smart doctor overclocking utility, it can mess things up too, although if you download the latest version it worked with all the Nvidia drivers I put it to. Good luck and I enjoyed my card.
