Is there some way to adapt this to Socket A use?

Zalman makes an Orb-type CPU cooler, but it's only for P4 and Clawhammer CPUs. It'd be nice to adapt it to Socket A use because it looks like a good design. The 92mm fan in the center is nice too.

If you could get a stock Socket A cooler and steal the mounting clip off of it then you chould be able to thin out the middle of the (SOCKET A) Clip and fit it in there.
It seems like you could take apart the HS w/ the fan.



I would warn you though. Unlike other HS the fan is built in so once thats gone your gonna be in the market for a new fan.

The description also mentions something about 2 nipples for Athlon 64 wonder if you could some how adapt that too.

I'd be really interested in using that one too.. seems to be an excellent cooler..

yup, its an orb on steroids. That thing really looks like a beast, I'd still be willing to bet that the slk-800 or 900 would beat it.
