That means your KT333 based motherboard is using a 1/2/4 divider, or memory = FSB/1; AGP = (FSB/4)x2; PCI = FSB/4.

Your AGP is at 84mhz, your PCI must be at 42mhz.

Note, I'm ASSUMING your PCI is that high, because it's not specifically reported on in that query.

Look for a 1/2/5 divider option in bios, or an 'auto' option, which should choose the 1/5th pci divider (if your board has one, it probably does) and you'll be fine.

i looked everywhere in the bios...i couldn't find anything on the dividers...
what is strange is that the 84 mhz was there when i overclocked it to 2 ghz..12 x 167 = 2 ghz and now 11 x 167 = 1.84 ghz ( factory setting)
i read that the higher you overclock,the higher the speeds go on the pci and agp busses and that you risk of having things not work right unless you got the dividers set right...i bumped mine all the way to 2.08 ghz and ran 3DMark 2001 and got my all time high so far of 13,337...that doesn't look lke my agp video suffered at all

would the settings be under pci latency timermy default setting is 32 and can go as high as 248...the manual suggests the higher the number the better

No, the pci latency is a setting that determines how much time a pci device can hog the bus, and has nothing to do with divider. In reality, most people can ignore that setting, but if you're REALY anal about tweaking, play with it and test.

If you can't find divider anywhere (it would most likely be located in frequency control, where you set FSB and multiplier) then it must automatically choose. Google your motherboard and divider (for example, I googled 'MSI KT3 Ultra2 divider' ) and screen the results looking for any reviews or articles that tell what dividers the board has.

If you don't have a 1/5th divider, then you may be asking for trouble.

I just got my dad's new AMD up and running with the KT4V and a 2100 Tbred. I don't see anything about the dividers in the bios.

You need the newest bios version for a 1/5 divider. It isn't a setting in the bios, it just turns on after a certain fsb.

the 1/5 divider is automatic on the KT4, it isn't a setting in the BIOS its just a feature of the KT400 chipset. Set your FSB to 166 and your AGP/PCI will be 66/33 (stock)

166 / 5 = 33MHz (PCI)

AGP = PCI x 2 (66MHz)
