Asus A7V266 Temp probe accuracy

Just a quick question, anyone know how accurate the cpu temp probe is on these things? It's saying my cpu is 61C under load, and I dont know wether I should believe it or not...

It's an Asus A7V266-C if that makes any difference.
 
I dont know about that board specifically, but i have been hearing that a lot of boards are reporting really high temps...in the 15-20C over range.
 
I wouldnt. if that is your real hsf in your avatar. :D

Asus boards do over estimate the temps im not sure how much but i know they do. I wouldnt let it go over 65-70° cause it can really fry your cpu. Ive heard that some will go at 65° real temp

BTW, how did you do that in your avatar?
