what does it take to get to 12k on a stock unmoded 8500 retail i have ram sinks but i am close what else can i do i would like 12k without modding all i have done was clock it to 300/307 to get this just a little more

It takes a lot to get an 8500 past 12k, congrats on the current score. I would suggest turning every little detail you can to its lowest, defragging your hdd, turning off the splash screens in 3dmark, killin ALL programs and services other than 3dmark, and benchin after a reboot. The should net you the 40 points needed

i finaly got it i took my sound card out and blew cold air on it i got mad at it and went all out without modding and here it is woohoo but it wont do it again LOL on to the water and maybe pelt now
