I want to OC my 2400 using 166. What are the best settings (inclucing memory) to set my bios to. I am kind of new to OCing so sorry in advance if this is a stupid question.

RIG:
Athlon 2400+ with thermaltake volcano 7
A7N8X ver. 1.06 bios ver 1003
ASUS Ti4200

WD80gig
2Maxtor120gig in Mirror
Antec 430W truepower
Thermaltake XaserII

You have an nForce2 board and DDR400, your goal should be 200 fsb not 166. See how high the cpu will go by chaging the multiplier and keeping the fsb low. Once you have that figured out, set the fsb to 200 and the multi to whatever you got the cpu to run at, then fiddle with the memory timings. With every timing: lower is better.

Good luck

The A7N8X will only allow my Processor freq to be 100/133/166. I can set my memory freq to 200. Which one of these refers to the FSB again?

Different mobos use different BIOSes.
Download the pdf manual for your mobo on its official web site.

You own expensive quality components that'll take you far so find out about what your BIOS does first. Higher FSB is more important than raw MHz.

Your choices are limited probobly because you have your cpu at "optimal" setting. Same page that has fsb and multiplier choices should have an option where you can change your interface to "expert" That should give you all the choices.

your choices of 100/133/166 is the fsb setting. Once you set it to expert you should have every number available up to about 225.

You should set you memory frequency at the same speed as your fsb.

Before changing these settings around I might read a little more to get a good idea of how everything works together. If you don't understand what's going on you probobly won't be very successful. Just my 2 cents.
