can you overclock memory, say if i got 2x256 kingston ddr370, and i oc my cpu to a fsb of 185mhz, can i oc the memory to be ddr400, if i get my fsb to 200Mhz?

when you turn up your fsb isn't the memory the first thing that stops working. I tried to get my Athlon XP 1700+ up to 2000+ speeds, and ended up reseting the bios.

that's why there are apps like Memtest

Up the fsb (or tighten the timings)

Have mtest on a floppy/cd, boot from that floppy/cd.. test it. If you get no errors you can boot into Windows.

I have a Samsung DDR333 running at DDR400 or 2700@3200 and at 5-4-4-2.5 .. not too shabby if you ask me.. could go even higher.. but I decided to stop at 200..
