P4 direct die cooling?

I have removed the heatspreader on my 1.8A for fun. Only problem is that the die doesnt make any contact with the heatsink anymore. I cant even press hard on the heatsink and get the CPU grease to make an imprint. Any suggestions?

It would help to know which HSF you are using for this?

the stock hsf should make the contact.

Its reall just some cheap *** cooler I'm using. I'lll try the stock cooler in a second.
