Anyone else have a DLT3C 1700 that can not do 2400mhz?

i must say i am a bit dissapointed. i got a 0310 xpmw from excal with hopes of 2500mhz+

it can do 2300mhz w/ 1.75v but even with 1.875v (will boot into windows fine etc doesnt seem to have probs w/ voltage greater than 1.8v like others 1700's) it will not do 2400mhz.... right now i have it running 2315mhz (11x210) w/ 1.8v...

let me also say it is the actual voltage not the voltage as read in the bios.... i had to vmod my board to get it to run 1.8v

so pretty much i am bummed i have a bad chip.... even though i understand a 845mhz overclock isnt bad lol, i wanted 1ghz+ oc like many others have been getting....

temps are not a problem btw always stays under 50c i have SK7 and 50CFM

Very often the issue with these chips is too high of a vcore as opposed to a vcore that is too low. Many have issues with high voltages. Try stepping it down to 1.7 or even 1.65 and see what happens.

i tried that allready and no go..... the cpu works 100% fine at 2300 w/ 1.75 v and at 1.8v so i know the chip can take 1.8v.... however it refuses to go over around 2300!

Well, my chip can do 2.5 with 1.825v. And I know that I've seen at least two chips better than mine on forums. I'd say 50-75% of the DLT3C's can beat mine if the user knows what they are doing and has nothing holding them back (Ie board, psu, heatsink, etc)

What psu are you using anyways? Very often the cause can be attributed to a weak psu. Another thing to consider is what multiplier your proc likes. For example, a friend of mine has your exact stepping. Works fine at 12x200 for 2400mhz and 10x220 for 2200, but refuses to even post at 10.5x220.

Wow azn... you really have nothing better to do.

Sorry to say emericana... but it looks to me like you might just have gotten a bad chip.

I was just trying to keep hope alive cuzz he still might be in the 50-75%

maybe u can guide him through the OCing process. he might have a bad psu or something.

Emericana it sound like you may have just gotten the short end of the stick, keep us posted though if you can get it there.

I have the exact same stepping as you DLT3C 0310 XPMW on a NF7-S and can't do 2.4ghz stable. I can boot into windows at 1.85V at that speed but fails P95 after two lines. It's not even P95 stable at 1.95V. Currently running at 2.3Ghz at 1.75V.

That's what mine does at a lower voltage. I tried 2.44gHz at the same voltage in my sig and it booted but wouldn't do windows.:(
Since I'm in FL and need some more case cooling, I left it at that.
Some fans and holesaws are on the way...........

Same here, Emericana.

I got a 0310XPMW version from a online store from Canada (Brownies) and tried to fire it up in my NF7-S V1.2.

Now I can run stable @ 2321 (211x11) with 1.7V and also 2400 (200x12) @ 1.825V..However, I tried to do whatever but still can't pass 2400mhz...

Having read this thread I feel lucky again :D

My 1700+ does 2.4GHz at 1.75v with a 218MHz FSB on my NF7-S V1.2.

Using a SLK-900 and a 120x38mm Ys-Tech fan to cool it :D

My 1700

Ive got a Week 8 Dlt3c (assuming that is the low voltage one)

At present it is running at 2400mhz 200x12 stable as a rock after upteen hours of prime and sandra 1.725 volts which im progressivley backing off to see how low it will run at.

I cant get [email protected] Prime about 11hrs then crashed :( but is reasonable but due to certain programs i run stability is the key.

I can get [email protected] and this using 12.5x216(i think) but at this speed it will run prime for hours no problem like 2500mhz but it wont cold boot in the morning???? i dont know why! i think this chip has more headroom with bios tweaking but im no pro at overclocking.

Mind you at present it fully loaded 30C with H20 cooling still im happy

(but again certain multipliers it dosnt like at all so maybe you need to play with that
200x10 or lower seems not to care one bit boots and runs fine all the time.
200x10.5 LOL the chips laughs at me
200x11 Not a chance in hell LOL
200x11.5 fine
200x12 is fine
200x12.5 is fine

It may just be a bum chip :( but they do act differant depending on MB to my rev 2.0 deluxe does 200 easy whilst my m8s almost exactly the same hardware rev 1.03 or 4 will get to 194-5 and fail to boot).
