I use a router and I also use and FTP damien. The problem is my port forwarding and actually being able to connect to 198.162.0.1 because my IP address defaults to 198.162.0.2.

I have tried everything to get my ip back to*****.0.1 and can not after trying all night long.

I thought there was a "route" command to delete the route tables that currently exist. Anyone know how to accomplish this on win XP Pro?

You are going to have to do it in the router if you are using DHCP. Since the DHCP is giving you the .2 why don't you just forward the FTP port to that IP.

Isnt 192.168.0.1 your routers IP ?

I bet it is, and the router is refusing to give it up, so you get the
192.168.0.2 address.

Do what Kendan said, and you should be ok.
