I need to know how to test this card and see if it work's.

Funny thing is I got them from a freind whose wife worked @ a liquor store and they gave her a bunch of computer stuff. 2 of these card's where in the box I made this outta one before I know how much they where.

I also have 2 sets of the cable's that came with the card.

Any help on finding out what this card does would be great.

Why dont you plug the card up and see what happens. You can also download the manual from their site and see what you can learn from that. If all else fails email the company and see what kind of devices it uses to connect.

We use something similar, called a rocketport, at work.

We use it to connect multiple Laser scanners to a server PC. It was probably used to connect any scanners or even the registers via the serial cable.

Well I have put the card in my pc before and is said new hardware found but that's all I have done.

Plz dont make me have to bump this every other day before someone tells me WTF this card does.

Its a serial port card. ALL it does is add 8 more serial ports to the computer.

The liquer store prolly had all their registers hooked into this card inside their server.

You could hook it into any normal machine and it would add 8 more serial ports, what you hook up to them is up to you.

like what AllenSmoker said...
we use those at work...
it connects the main computer to a bunch of modules to control some big machines (wafer processing)...

and they are pain to test...
