3000+ quiet cooling...

I will be getting a Shuttle

barebones nForce2 comp and a XP 3000+. Anyways, what should I cool the processor with? I would like it to be at least semi-quiet. I won't be overclocking, but if I do, probably not much at all.

they come with heatpipe coolers and you can't really swap it out. it won't leave you with a lot of room for overclocking.

well it looks to me as if it uses the normal hsink mounting lugs so i guess you could fit a differant cooler on there

it would be kool to have a intake in the top so that the hsf drawed in cool air and then an exhust where the fan for the heatpipe cooler was.

I soooo want one of them

ps. as for a hsink try a cheap volcano 11 there good coolers for very little cash and are adustable so ther quiet.

stock cooling should werk fine, unless yer cpu is oem. the volcano 11 is a good choice for bang/buck. it comes with the smartfan2, which is nice.

i dunno about the shuttle heatpipe thing, i saw it, but a long time ago. you should get fine temps with it.
