Well time to look for a long-term job. I am interested in a entry level programmers position and was wondering what are some technologies I could learn to make myself more marketable? Like MFCs, EJBs, or another language.

Book recommendations would be good. A nice C++ book (advance or reference) would also be appreciated. I have use Practical C++ programming (the one with the gerbil on the cover) but my brother wanted it back.

I am proficient with: JAVA and C
I know basic: C++, Intel/MIPS assembly, Pascal, and VHDL

Depends what programming you want to go into.

Low level systems: you want ASM and C/C++
Web programming: Java/Javascript/HTML/PHP/Perl
Application programming: C++/VBasic.

As for books, I found a great book on Visual Basic databases a while ago, written by John Smiley I think.

It helped me get my computing project done ;).

With the amount of experienced individuals that are in the job market today I am not going to be picky about where I get my job, but ideally I would like a low level programming job. What about .NET?
