Codecs

I have same avis,mpegs, etc.. that I just cannot get to play with anything(Media player, divx, etc..) When it goes to download a codec, I get an error. I've downloaded different thing to run the stuff I have but can't seem to find the right stuff. How can you be sure that you have the right codecs or whatever you need to play movies, etc..??

I usually install the nemo codec pack. That contains a ton of video and audio codecs. Should play almost anything 'cept quicktime and realplayer.

i personly have had problems with nemo but somepeople liek it.. just eh divX codec will ofted do

yeah.. there's the occasional problem with XVID's.. I believe it's FFDShow that causes XVID's to go green and smear.. Don't install GX400 either.. that flips your video upside down.. you'll know if you install that one. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing for every box I've installed it on..

youcan always get eh Xvid codec too
