Any idea what chip this is or how hard to fix it?

100/1000 net card with this one chip missing. Any idea if it is fixable?

The open gap to the right of Rb09 is most likely a resistor but you need to give more information on the card to find out the rating on it, like a part # and name

Your best bet would be to get in contact with Foundry and talk to a real tech, he/she should be able to give you a resistor value in only a few second as it is labeled “Rb09” try here http://www.b2net.co.uk/foundry/

just because the only visible damage its got it is a missing resistor, doesnt mean theres no pad/track damage to other parts of the board. It may be repairable, may not...depends on the overall extent of the damage, and you wont be able to tell without having a really good look at the entire card
