I'm wondering why amd's are better @ folding than pentiums?

The AMD chips have a much more efficient FPU unit and handle scientific calculations much better. I think it has 3 pipelines vs Intel's 2, plus the pipelines are more efficient.

And OT on your topic, get the Vapo, I had a peltier and it was a nightmare. Vapo is a professional design.
