Is the GeForce 4 Ti 4800 any good and if so where should i buy one

The only thing seperating it from a Ti4600 is the fact that it is AGP 8X(AFAIK). A Radeon 9700 Pro would be a far better purchase at this point.

It really isnt the best deal
#1- the 8x agp does nothing for it- it will be as fast as the 4600
#2- It is only directx 8- so next gen games wont like it
#3- radeon 9500 pros are the same price and have directx 9

Yes, the Radeon 9700 pro is much better, even the Radeon 9700 is better by a pretty big margin. I would probably suggest getting it from newegg.com They always seem to have great prices and really good customer support.

BTW, This probably should be posted in the video card and sound card section. This section is for really good deals on different products.

Just my personal recommendation, go with the Ti4200. They seem to be a wonder for overclocking (personal experience and others). The 9700 is very fast but the price and horrible driver issues would be the only thing keeping me away from it.
