Been reading the forum got some clues but still not sure.

So can anyone tell me what will be the best mobo for linux and overclocking. Going with an AMD 2100+

Thinkign between
Abit NFS 7
Asus A7N8X
Asus A7V8X
SOYO KT 400

From the perspective which mobos give problem with linux and which give the least as in all components work

Welcome to the Forums! :)

If you are concerned with hardware compatiblity, I suggest you have a look at the hardware compatibilty database at www.redhat.com . I've had good experiences with Linux and Via chipsets, generally worked right out of the box. I believe some NVidia chipsets require some drivers to be installed for various functions, but I have no experience with that.

As far as overclocking goes, talk to the guys in the motherboard sections. Overclockability is more or less the same across various operating systems.
