The virus is one that only affects users of Kazaa and disables the search button in windows and Windows Media player.

I remember reading articles on how the music indusctry was developing DOS and other software to attack the sytems of those who file swap.

Do you think this may be one of their tools?

W32.HLLW.Kazkaz is a simple worm that copies itself to the shared folders of the KaZaA file-sharing network. The worm is written in the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language.

Infection Length: 40,960 bytes, varies
Systems Affected: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Me
Systems Not Affected: Macintosh, UNIX, Linux
