I have a DD ATI Radeon block coming this week. From the DD site, I found out that it supports Radeon 9000/9700 Pro. The problem is I only have a ATI Radeon 8500 retail which even don't have mounting holes. I emailed DD about using silver alumina adhesive to epoxy it onto the ATI chip and was told that it is safe to do so. Have any of you tried this yet?

Also, if I don't use it on my video card, would I be able to use it as a chipset block? My 8RDA+ has mounting holes on both NB and SB.

well i would work to use AL epoxy. but your notgoing to be able to get it off. just make sure you seat it right the first time. as for the Nb i dunno but my NB had diffrent mounting wholes them my radeon 9000.
