this the comp im going to build
- Amd 1700
-abit nf7s
-(2X) pc3200 256 corsair RAM =Total 512
-g4 ti4200

Im looking to overclock it to 2.3Ghz , what kind of cooling would you guys suggest to run stabily at this lvl?

hmmmm watercooling eh.. thats not good, hmm what lvl could i run it at If i didn want to spend 200 on water cooling?

and also Im from Austin, Tx , close to ceder park

If you get a good 1700+ you should be able to run around 2.2 fine.

I'd say if money doesn't count get a SLK-800.

If the budget is tight get the AX-7 $18 from SVC.

Thermalrite sk-7 is about the minimum that you could get 2.3ghz on

if you have the money go for a slk-800 or slk-900

also use a smart fan 2 with either sink

personnaly i wouldent want my 1700 running 2.3 on air, but thats just me;) chiller all the way!

I would get something like the Koolance Exos, a self contained water cooling rig, or build your own from www.dangerden.com. You would even have difficulty keeping that cool with a MCX-462 heatsink. Go water cooling.

Thank You,
Daniel
