Well from what i have used of these so far they seem to be fine...

Not really for overclocking but fine for a normal non-overclocked system...

Yup that kingston ram should do fine.

The one thing I would check out is to look at your motherboards website and check which memory modules they recommend for your board ..

Best way to make sure........

Go to crucial.com and put in your mobo info to see what your motherboard supports. there's a chance it may only recognize half of the chips on that stick as I believe its double sided. Better check to be sure and get back to us and let us know.

At crucial you can just put in your computer info and that will be just fine.

I wasn't recommending crucial perse, but the site is good for telling you what kind of ram is compatible. Does it say the 32x8 stick is good for your system? If it is, then that's cool, go ahead with the kingston. It should work fine.

Check out what ram crucial recommends. Look at the numbers on their website. That'll tell ya what your motherboard supports.

What model Compaq do u have? The main thing u want to find out is if the mobo supports 32x8. A lot depends on how old the computer is. If it's relatively new, like 2-3 years old you shouldn't have a problem.

In my opinion, no problem. Give it a try. If it doesn't work, just send it back.
