When you take a mobo out of the case for testing purposes, do you use a jumper to connect the power button pins so you can power the board up with the power supply switch?

If not, what do you do to power up with (extra power switch? I don't have one)???

I use the tip of (metal) a screwdriver. All you have to do is short the two pins where the power switch would normally be connected.

Note that shorting the pins is like holding the button... so you can also turn it off that way.. just some useless info...

Yup...

The name came from my old Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Band I was in... we called ourselves Penetrecion. For the longest time we couldn't think of a name until a friend of mine, Mario, who is from the Phillipines suggested Penetration. I liked it and changed the spelling around to be a little more original, then realised it was similar to the real word in Hispanic language. Never even thought of it.
