What would you do? YES OR NO POLL

Ok my lifelong friend was forced to live with me at my place because his new home isn't finished. He sent his wife, two newborn twin daughters and three cats off to Michigan to stay with her mom and dad till the 17th of June.

OK he shows up with cloths and his pc box that I built for him. (He's an IT pro and works for a large multi million dollar corporation. That will know if I install even the hidden Folding program)

Here's the deal I say I can and should because I was the best man at his wedding, Giving him a roof over his head and the electricity for the pc.

His pc is in the corner of my office and begging me to set it up for team 32.

Should I: (No answers about ethics as this poll is not scientific and the margin of error could be 50% or more)

At the end of the day when he gets here I will show him this Poll and the decision is final

I say make it fold AND change the description of the folding service to "[His name], you owe me, leave this running."

I'd say ask him first.

But if he says yes, you know what to do.

I don't understand how the company will know that the Folding program is installed if the PC is in your home in your office. Also, is this his personal PC or a company PC?

Ask first of course but he should help you out with this small favor. Maybe you can even work out a borg deal with him where he works.

Just get him to fold for team 32 at the very least. At the most it would be nice to see SSS ascending the team ranks in RED

Trust me he would know, he looks at the Windows Task Manager at the Performance Tab every so often.

It's his personal PC, if I could get his work machines it would be sweet but thats another day...

Most def, after all you've done, the least he could do is let you use his spare cpu cycles, it's not like he'll miss em or anything. Roll wit it

I came back to this thread because it is over flowing with opportunity. This is exactly how I picked up my last two borg (worth about 20Ghz). They guys were friends and I talked them into letting me borg there machine so they could see that they were helping out a good cause and it had no noticeable effect on their boxes.

Then, after a couple of weeks, I asked how the folding was going and pounced for the big borg of their work rigs.

Do it, it's yelling for gateway to bigger borg!

I would tell me long and loud to get his *body* up to michigan to his family. How terrible leaving a young family like that.
