re-installing XP

If i re-install XP (format and then clean install), do i have to re-activate it?

If i do, won't XP reject it as this copy is already registered?

Do i have to 'deactivate' my current version of windows?

BTW, I will be changing some hadware (video card and ram)

Yes you do, but it will usually be accepeted with no problems, unless you have changed some major amount of hardware.
