Help before I finalize my order.

Ok, I am going to be ordering my parts in the next week, hopefully all the orders will be placed by wednesday, and I wanted to get everyone's input before I finalize my orders. I want this system to last me a while since it took me like 2 months to save up for it, and I wont have any money to upgrade for a while.

Eheim 1250
D-Tek WW
ClearFlex 60
Heatercore w/ 2 shrouds in push-pull config
Homemade BayRes (by Excelsior)
Plastic hose clamps (or should I go metal marine ones?)
Watter Wetter, and UV Dye (will the dye show up over the Water Wetter?)
2 120mm Panaflow fans.

I am also thinking of cooling the NB a little later, and I need to find a good block for it. Is the Danger Den Z Chipset Block worth the money, or am I better off asking morphling1 to make me one of his?

Also, I need to know the best method for the fill-bleed process. I have heard that it is good to use a funnel and fill the heatercore first with it, but this seems really time consuming. Is there a quicker way of getting rid of all the air in the heatercore? Also, with the Eheim pump, do you have to fill it before you put the system together, or will it pull the water from the resovior on its own?

Thanks for all the help and suggestions that you guys have given me. Any comments on my configuration would be appreciated.

Hmm imho the eheim 1048 would be better, its cheaper, smaller and more quiet. Otherwise, killer system

and no the waterwetter will not FAQ up the color of the dye, unless its clear in daylight. I got some visible blue UV dye and the waterwetter dosent show throu.

Sounds good. I agree about the 1048, though

Thanks MaxiKana, and JML, what method did you use to fill and bleed your system? I have a feeling I will go with the funnel method since it sounds reliable, but if there is a quicker method, I am all ears. Thanks.

Will the plastic hose clamps suffice, or will the metal ones be a better option? The plastic ones are $.75 and the metal ones are $.54 so price isn't really a concern.

Well since there weren't many responses I went ahead and ordered everything I could:
Pre-Order D-Tek WW
2x 120mm Delta Fans 31Dba 70CFM
Eheim 1250
ClearFlex 60
Plastic Clamps
Water Wetter

Waiting on my Heatercore with shrouds, and my custom Bayres from Excelsior.

Hopefully, all of this will be up and running next week. Thanks for all the assistance in the last couple months guys.

Hmm those plastic clamps SHOULD do the job, but as always leak test outside of the case before you mount anything inside. In my WC rig i use a T line infront of the pump to bleed and fill my system, i bled it in about 2-2½ hours. If you need any more help bout a T line feel free to ask and ill try and help you as best as i can.

*EDIT* Oh yeah, bout the eheim, i just primed the pump before i started it, then i let it suck the water from the t-line and then refil. Repeat untill entire system is full of water.

i use plastic clamps as the metal clamps will conduct electricity so will short components if they come into contact.

Any of you guys have a 120mm fan handy...so I can figure out the distance between the mounting holes for Excelsior, so he can make the shrouds accomodate them correctly. Thanks.

Do you have a removable motherboard tray? My case has one, so I just take all the computer components out of my case, and set-up my watercooling system inside the empty case, leaving enough slack and fore-thought with the tubing on the waterblock that I can mount it right to the cpu when I slide the motherboard tray back inside.

Do you want to know the distance from the mounting holes on a 120mm fan diagonally (sp) or side by side?
