Ok, I will in a few weeks have access to a CNC milling machine, and I want to design and make a waterblock for myself. If I want to use the four mounting holes, can anyone give me some dimensions on those, s I know where to drill the holes. I will be making drawings of the block using Autocad, and then giving them to my shop teacher who will mill it for me out of a block of copper. I need some general info on what to use for a top, how thick the base should be for optimal cooling, and details like that.

Thanks

hey man, thats pretty dang cool!

as for the holes, its 36x66mm or 1.42"x2.6"

the top should be .25" thick so the barbs have something to screw into.
the base is hard to say because it all depends on the block designs. Start drawing and post, we can help you decide. I also have autocad, you can post some dwg files for me to look at too:)
