Voltage setting?

Hi,
I've got a 1700+ tbred B working at about 2k @ 1.6V well In my mobo MSI KT4V there is the option to leave the vcore setting as AUTO.
--Will it cause some problem if I further overclock my cpu?
--Should I adjust it to a fixed value?

thank you

So I would assume you have a DUT3C CPU?

Stock vcore of 1.6v...

You may be able to go a little higher without messing with the voltage but as soon as the system hangs or programs start acting funny you will need to bump the voltage up a notch.

Oh, and Welcome to the forums!

Let us know how things go!

P.S. I have this board myself... pretty nice one for the money it cost me....

Thank you penetrecion,
Well my cpu has a code starting with JU..... something and numbered as 312, I really forget its serial. Well the vcore variation that our board applies rages from usually between 1.55V-1.7V.
--Do you think its reliable to keep voltage settings as auto?

It will be fine on auto but if you want to go faster then you may have to boost the voltage too. You will know if your computer becomes unstable...

thank you mate,
so KT4V has to be manually voltage adjusted for further o'clocking, thats the story.

That is correct, AUTO will only run the CPU at the default value and will not change.
