Turn off MS Net Messenger

Somehow MS's Net Messenger got set up to load every time on startup as shown by the little icon in my task bar. Does anyone know how to disable it so it doesn't load every time.

If you're referring to Windows Messenger...Open Messenger | Tools | Options | "Preferences" tab | Uncheck "Run this program when Windows starts".

to uninstall it go to a run command (start>run) and type:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

that will uninstall it.

If you have problems with it still and want a low-tech fix, just rename the executable.
