Money Wise to leave computer on 24/7

How much would it cost to leave a computer on 24/7 ???

Considering a Nice Computer like 1.5 to 3.0 ghz, no water cooling, around 4 fans, regular power supply, and just hardware devices.. ?

Not as much as you might think, especially if you turn the monitor off. Monitors use much more power than the PC itself.

PS. Go to the folding team section of the forums. Those guys know a little bit about the cost of running a PC 24/7. Just ask them why you should run folding@home 24/7 and how much it costs, they'll tell you.

I hope that is why your asking...because of folding. If it isn't don't worry about it, because soon you will be folding anyways....FOLD!!!
