Coolest AMD MP processor?

I know AMD MP 2000 processors are like crazy hot.

I also know the AMD XP 2400 and XP 2600 run cooler than the 2000's. Is this true for the MP's?

I've having troubles finding heat info on the MP processors.

Thanks!

The MP's are identical to XP's except for one of the bridges on an MP isnt connected, kind of handy if you want reconnect it and save your self some money and buy a pair of XP's

I noticed that the diff processors have different cores.

Man this is confusing...I was just looking around and AMD makes the same speed chips with different cores.

I dunno if I'm comming or going anymore lol.

So which is the cooler running ones, Palimino or Thoroughbread or Barton?

Thx!

Barton's are the coolest; they are very similar to Thoroughbreds, except that they have a greater amount of surface area.

AthlonMPs run cooler since they are premium chips and AMD select the ones that run cooler (since they have to run in an SMP setting).
Your best bet, though, would be to take a Tbred B 1700+ DLT3C and mod it into a 2400MP. It should run at stock voltage and possibly make less heat than a regular 2400+. A real 2400MP may run cooler though.
