Getting Win 2k to shutdown faster?

How in the hell does one get win2k pro to shutdown/restart faster it must sit on the please wait saving info screen for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. I know it is not a life time but it does not seem to do much, near the end I will see the hard drive LED flash a couple times then it will finally shut down.

redduc: is this fixed in SP4? I assume SP4 includes the hotfix, and I did a clean install to get rid of the slow shutdown issue (before I came across the linked post) and went only upto SP3.

I was dling 2000 and hope this issue has been fixed by M$...

I'm sure hoping it's fixed...I haven't d/l'ed SP4 yet, and I haven't heard as of yet whether the shutdown problem has been fixed or not. I also haven't had a chance to read through the complete list of hotfixes yet...here's a link if you'd like to check it out yourself:
