will dead mobo destroy new chip? - read pls

there is my current situation.

Now, my processor should be here today. what I am considering doing is putting new cpu in current mobo. new mobo won't get here till monday (DAMMIT!). so, if i put new chip in possibly damaged mobo, will damaged mobo destroy new chip?

Be patient. Its better to wait and take no chances than blow it up and have to wait a week for another one after and RMA.
