Im trying to build a computer for my sister, that would cost around 300$ so ill have to be mr. budget. and i was wondering, for instance Geil ram and Biostar mobo's, are they reliable for basic programs (basic games, and internet surfing) THanks for the help

yes. even generic ram works find on that kind of stuff.. you only need expensive ram for overclocking

what about the stock AMD Heatsink , will that be decent enough> or should i buy some 10$ copper thing

like i said, this would be just used to play little games on internet explorer, and surf the net. what do you think?

Biostar + generic ram is what my current main rig uses (the one in my sig), and its been up for 64 days (WinXP) without a single reboot before(doing seti 24/7 too), then the POWER WENT OUT. The powerlines had trouble with that water that falls from the sky. Hence, out goes the power. The downside is that I can't overclock this board at all. Has no options for it. That shouldn't be an issue in a budget pc tho.

if i was building a budget system for one of my siblings for just net and word and stuff, i wouldnt even bother with that second stick of ram, 256 would be enough
