Check out CPU FSB. Do a google search on it. You have to find out what your PLL model is. Then configure cpu fsb and you can raise your FSB in windows. Another method that may or may not work is to look in your bios for the "CPU Clock" setting. Key in a number such as 137 and now your FSB is set to 137 mhz.

Also, your max FSB is most likely 166 mhz. You have to raise the multi

I think I was wrong! Nforce2 mobo's have a PCI lock, you should be able to get FSB's in the 200's!

Look for "Frequency Magic" it might be in your BIOS or it might be in your software package

The Hardware doctor may also have a FSB setting in it.

Hope this helps

I would suggest looking all around in the BIOS. I have no clue as to the board you are refering to, so I couldn't tell you if you have more options than 166Mhz...but I would guess that you do not if you cannot find it. It ususally is hiding in the first couple menu's and will have other CPU options near it like voltage and multiplier settings.

My guess is there might be a jumper on the mobo to allow more FSB! Also make sure you check out everything in the bios.. make sure everything is on "Expert" or "User Define" or something like that... that is probably what you have to do to be allowed to select any FSB.

*MY* Guess is that he didn't set the 'Frequency Control' or 'Multiplier Control' or whatever that feature is to 'user defined' or 'aggressive'.

SLO DWN, there are THREE different safety locks in the 'advanced chipset features' menu. One for the cpu multiplier, one for the cpu interface, and one for the memory. (Actually, there are more than 3, but the 3 i'm thinking of are the most important.)

You need to set these to 'user defined' or 'aggressive' in order to have complete control of your settings.

{edited to add:}

That is, if your bios is fairly close to the reference bios. There's a chance these things aren't there, but most likely they are. Unless, of course, your M/B manufacturer is the type to try to 'protect you from yourself'...
