A new compaq just came in with this chip

SL6RY
Q317A1450379

Malay 2003 week 17?

It's a 2.26 (533)

Anyone have one? How does it overclock?

Ya. i know it can't be overclocked well in a compaq. But i have a dog of a 2.4 at home. I'm wondering if it's a better chip than my 2.4

In which case i'd trade chips.

my 2.4 does 2.7 maxed.

Grin. ya. you're right, that's really the only way to know for sure.

Was hoping someone might have the same chip just to compare.

But a search of the forums shows that not too many people have this one.

alright, thanks for the replies.

Hopefully i'll be able to test it at home.

:)

lol, yeah my 2.4B is a b0 stepping and it could only hit 2.9GHz. (well, stock cooling though)

Usually the C1 step chips can do 3Ghz.

Good luck!

the amusing thing is that my 2.4 which maxes at 2700 is a c1!

ahha. Philippians model.

Picked a real dog!

That's a multi vid chip. Could be a great overclocker. I'm running my SL6S2 (also multi vid) at 3.3ghz default voltage.

SL6RY? Wow- new stepping?

I have an SL6RZ here, highest I can do 100% stable on 1.68v is 3533Mhz, highest I can get a screenshot at with this voltage is 3651Mhz. :D

The multiple vids make for great o'cers though. :) I'd go for it.
