uh... having folding on takes off ~1500 pts 3dmark2001!

what is going on? my new p4 2.4c with ic7 and a gig of ram has this strange glitch. it doesnt like to fold for some reason. whenver i have folding on and i run 3dmark i get 7500 points. when i turn it off i got 9000. and i did it 3 times now just to make it believe my eyes. wth? and it uses about 1000 megabytes of Integer related mem bandwidth in sisoft sandra memory benchmark?
i get ~4500/4500 and when folding was on i got about 3500/4500

strange i say.

and bf definately was slightly choppier after i put folding on but it didnt bother me much but it kinda does now.
anyone elses hyperthreaded p4 do this?

max

Yes Lt. Max I have the same issue as you. I really chalk it up to synthetic benchmarks and FAH just not loving one another. My mem scores are almost half with FAH running than without. Don't know why, don't really care either. I just think it is the synthecticness of it all being well, synthetic.

Dont you mean:

"uh... running 3dmark takes off ~1.3mins off my frametime!"

Same here. On those very rare occasions when I feel curious enough to run 3D Mark, I'll reboot, and run it before I start up FAH again.

I will say, however, I cannot notice any visual difference when actually gaming, if FAH is running or not. So I've no problems running it while playing.

Fold ON!

well in gaming mr b you would notice less difference, since u have a ti4200. i have a g3 ti200 and thats why i notice more difference in gaming because cpu will take a lot of the load in my case
