Warcraft 3 Connection

From my house using a dsl dial up connection i can connect multiple pc to battle net to the same server and we can play all together using a switch

I wonder if i can do the same thing with a permanent cable connection assuming that i will be needing a router
I ask because i wasnt working in starcraft so ...
anyone have an idea ?

yea, my brother an I both connect to warcraft3 over our cable connection. We just use a router to share the connection.
