Hmm.. They look to be shipping A's rightnow if you get OEM.. never know tho.. Mine had a similar OPN and its a B.. Not sure about retail.

it's a cheap processor, pretty much any AthlonXP under 100 is a good deal

With the A revision 1700 T-bred reappearing, it might be best to pay a little more either to a dealer who will guarantee the version or get a 2100+ T-bred B (the OEM 2100+ is the only one guaranteed to be a B at newegg).

I got a 1700 on forasle forums that was a B that does 2.4 for $37 might try that, good luck
