dual OS's (how to remove one?)

i installed win 2k. then i installed win xp.

the reason i did this was to see if the xp disk i had still worked, however it just added another OS to the drive. Now i can select which OS i want. HOWEVER i dont want xp on there. would someone be as so kind as to tell me how to remove that OS from from computer.

thanks in advance

Where is XP installed? Same drive as 2000 Pro?

That could get difficult, as the two might try to share some things. You can edit your boot.ini file in the root to chop out the option to start XP, though.

Edit the XP option out of the boot.ini and make sure that w2k is the default operating system. After a few weeks if everything is running smoothly in w2k, you should be able to just delete the xp windows folders and use the partition for other things

If you encounter any problems, try the w2k repair console while booted off the w2k CD.
