for the price, which cards are better? i'm posting for someone else who's looking to stay in the 70-100 range.

If i'm not mistaken ,the Radeon 9200's are re-named radeon 9000's.
In the that price range you'd be better off with a GF FX5200. They perform much better with AA & AF and all that stuff and support DX9.

A 5200 gets crushed by a Geforce4. The 9200 does as well. Well the 9200 isnt crushed, its simply beaten by a large margin. Just make sure the Geforce 4 is a 4200 or higher.

the 9200 is better than the geforce mx series, and for the money that you want to spend it is a decent card. but if you really want something nice then go with a ge force 4 ti 4200 the 64 meg version is fine. it is a very good card and if you can find one for under a $100 there is nothing in the price range that can touch it.

You can find a ti4200 for $75-$85 (maybe even a 128mb version) and as thus the 9200 and fx5200 are really a waste of money.

By the way, a radeon 9200 is a radeon 9000 with agp8x implemented. Which, of course, makes no difference.
