Built PC for the wife.....

The long and the short of it is I need my PC for myself. Too much rubbish installed by the missus.

So, I've been collecting bits here and there (ie upgrading my PC to build hers out of the leftovers) to remedy the situation.......

Got the last bits today, a KT400a mobo (EQS - never heard of them, but it was only £48!), my old XP1500 (good for 1.66GHz), old 20gig HDD, old 17"monitor (it's fine once it's warmed up!), old case, old Radeon 64Meg DDR, and temporarily, a stick of RAM out of my box.

Hell, it works, and she only uses it for surfing/simple games, so no uber-speedy machine needed. Next, a couple of NICs, a broadband router, and we're off.......

Me? I'm happy with my trusty ol' 8KHA+/XP1700 Tbred B machine

Now comes fighting over Internet access.

Time to head over to the networking section and make a home network .
