I just recently installed a 16x dvd rom. I installed nvdvd 2.0 as a player, this is what came with my gforce fx 5200 ultra. I enabled hardware accel. and for some reason, the colors and picture get all funky. But if i disable the hardware accel. and just use software, it runs flawlessly? Whats the point?

Most DVD drives don't have hardware decoding. You either need software or a decoding card.

I had that same problem with PowerDVD. Funky colors with hardware acceleration. Downloaded the latest patch and all was fixed. Maybe you need to patch nvdvd?

If it's a small issue of contrast/saturation you can try adjusting "video overlay" settings in your card properties.

If you have major distortion, I don't know, try the driver thing.
