My F@H runs for hours with no progress!! Help!!

My F@H runs for hours with no progress, the program is running & it appears that it's working but the percentage never increases. Help me out here guys.

I have a P4 @ 3.3 GHz w/ 1 gig of RAM & cable internet.

Are you running the graphical client of the console version? Did you add the -advmethods and -forceasm flags?

It may keep resetting due to your overclock. Run your chip at 2.66 and see if the percentage changes.

I'd suggest posting the log file, at least the portion which shows startup and the core initiation.

Sounds to me like it isn't picking up a WU at all. A quick way to check would be to pull up Task Manager and see if there is any CPU usage for "FAH_CoreNN.exe"

That will tell you if it's trying to do any work.

Is there anything beyond the last line of log file you posted?

You are using the Tinker core on a P4, not a good combination unfortunately. You would certainly be better off adding the -advmethods switch and folding Gromac Work Units.

Not sure how long each frame will take on that work unit you are doing but I would guess around 15 mins or so, which would equate to 1% per hour.

Here is a thread that tells how to enable advmethods with the graphical client. You really should read Wedo's One Click Install thread a little further down for the best method of setting up folding.
