Does the P4C800-E have the 3:4 divider?

Was just wondering if this board has the 3:4 divider, so that I could run my ram at 200+ mhz on a 533 MHz cpu (2.53). Thanks.

Yes it does. It has 3 divider settings:

400 = 1:1
320 = 5:4
266 = 3.4

Careful, those are the available settings when you run an 800 MHz CPU. At 533 MHz the settings are different (but I'm not sure what they are).

the 266 option is not 3:4, it is 3:2 big difference!

That is not true. Again, those are the ratios when your are running an 800 MHz FSB.

Here's what my P4P800 manual says (most likely the same for a P4C800-E):

At 800 FSB, DRR 400, 333(320), and 266 are supported. Those are 1:1, 5:4, and 3:2 ratios.

At 533 FSB, DDR 333 and 266 are supported. Those are 4:5 and 1:1 ratios.

At 400 FSB, DDR 266 is supported. That is a 3:4 ratio.

So, it looks like yes, there is a 3:4 "divider" (multiplier, actually, but same thing), but it is active for 400 MHz FSB CPUs only. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why you're looking for 3:4 with a 533 MHz FSB CPU - that would be DDR355.

I'm looking for it so I can push my ram farther than 192 MHz (4:5) when overclocking my P4 2.53. Thanks for the info JKeefe, I just ordered the P4c800-e, because this Abit IS7 is falling apart on me
