xp amd chips!

Can someone help a newbee o/c er.
if i bought a cpu say a athlon xp1800 what would be the possible frequency of it. ie: 1.8 ghz or less or can the xp chips take more o/cing,sorry to sound dimp but i am not tech spec in the head,i just chop n burn amd chips to the max thanx to you guys n gals info...........

the 1700+ Tbred B is a nice overclocker!! 1.47ghz default, before I burned mine in, I got 2.49ghz outa the box. These cost under $70.

Will state that the 1700's that are the sweet ones are the 1700 Tbred B 310, 319...the A's will not OC as well...most don't usally hit over 2G...
