mozzila firebird

I'm new to linux (RH9) and I jsut downloaded mozzila firebird. But I don't know anything about how to install it from a tarz. Can anyone help me?

PS:My first post under linux w00t!

From a command line:

tar zxvf filenamehere.tar.gz

It will create a new directory. cd into it, and look for a readme file. That will contain instructions on how to install the software. I don't know how mozilla installs, but most source distributions install with the following proceedure:

./configure
make
su
(root password)
make install

The proceedures for binary distributions tend to vary. Either way, the readme will explain it.
